Our flight got cancelled and had to extend our car for two more days and they were very accommodating and considerate. probably one of the only car rentals that was this hassle free. They have amazing, super friendly staff, affordable prices and great cars. They also offer drop off at the airport. Highly recommend them!!

We originally reserved a car through Enterprise on the resort we stayed at, but had to wait 2 days for the next car to be available. We called Kihei rent a car, and we’re extremely happy we were able to upgrade to a Jeep, it was available immediately, and it was less than the other rental for more days. Jeep was in great condition, and clean. We enjoyed exploring the island with the tops off! We called the day the jeep was due back and asked if we could extend the rental another half day overnight and they said yes with no additional charge, and also offered us a ride to the airport in their shuttle, our shuttle driver was the same person who booked our reservation over the phone, super nice. Overall a really great experience! I would definitely suggest calling Kihei rent a car before any other company!

Reservations on line was easy, quick and accurate. Pick up at the airport was prompt and the paperwork for the rental was quick. The AC worked well and the vehicle was clean. Day 3 we had a check engine light come on. They switched us out in less than 15 minutes and we were on our way. We have used this company for the past 15 years and they still maintain great prices and safe reliable used cars. Further UPDATE - while on island I needed a van or truck for about two hours to pick up some chairs. Everywhere I checked for a rental they wanted more than the chairs cost me to buy. LOWE's had delivery but basically the same cost as a rental. Kihei gave me a fantastic deal for the few hours I needed. Van had tons of room and the AC with blizzard cold which was great as often vans take a while to cool because of the large interior space. If you need a van and the other rental agencies are not interested in customer service give these guys a shout.

This rental car company was so impressive. If all companies were run like this, the world would be a better place. Customer service was amazing, there was always a friendly human available. The prices were incredible and the shuttle driver on my trip home was telling me how much he loved working for people who own it and how they've set up a win/win for the community and their customers with their purchasing and selling of the cars they use. I cannot recommend this company enough! Skip the greedy, rude, corporate players and make your vacation that much better!! (The money you'll save is quite significant, as well.)

Great local family owned company with reliable fleet of cars. Save lots of $$ by not paying the expensive airport tax. Have been using them for about 8 years now and always happy with the service.

We had several different issues with the larger car rental places before finding this gem! We wanted a Jeep Wrangler and they had what we needed. We were able to speak to an actual person in the office and go over the details of our rental without dealing with all of the online hassles. For me, that was great! The team members were friendly and helpful beyond the car rental giving us advice about places to see on the island. And, we get a shuttle back to the airport at the end of our stay! Excellent local business to support. Easy pick up drop off at the airport. Cars range from discount older small sedans to late model jeeps and vans. Staff is awesome and you can get a great deal of useful information on the ride from the airport to the car rental location that will would miss renting at the airport.
